Operations Manager 

Wages - 36k Depending on Experience

Contract - Permanent, subject to 6 months probationary period.

Benefits - The post holder will benefit from a Pension Scheme, travel allowance, a mobile phone, a laptop, and an all-zone business parking permit within the London borough of Newham

Hours - Full time 40 hours per week - Worked over 5 days from 9 am till 5.30 pm including 30 minutes of unpaid lunch break.  This post needs to be worked from premises and is not suitable for remote working.

Just Homes is looking for an individual to take the charity to its next stage of service delivery - by establishing itself as the provider with the best accommodation provisions and the kindest provider of support in the borough.

The purpose of the post is to coordinate and manage the day-to-day operational needs of the accommodation provisions.  The support delivery, accommodation service delivery, Health and Safety provisions and the property upkeep are maintained at industry standards. The successful candidate must ensure our various properties are staffed during office hours and maintain “out of hours on call cover” outside of office hours.

The successful candidate needs to inspire, support, and lead our motivated and committed staff team. Coordinate the individual staff members to operate and deliver as an effective team. Be able to set both individual and team goals and support the team to deliver time sensitive goals.

The individual should be proactive in identifying potential issues and finding creative solutions for issues identified.  Someone who will work hand in hand with the CEO to look to the future with a view to continuously increase standards, identify, and address issues and streamline service delivery. 

Location - The head office is based at 34 Norwich Road, Forest Gate, E7 9JH. The job role involves working routinely from all Just Home’s properties on a rota basis, all located within Newham.


Requirements - This post requires knowledge and experience of managing accommodation-based support service and the homeless client group.  This post requires a DBS check. Driving skills and access to a vehicle are also necessary to carry out this role.
